Theatre School

[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”46px”][vc_column_text]Our main theatre school classes run 10am-12pm each Saturday during term time.

These classes are for those aged 4 years and over with students split into three age groups. These age groups vary but usually follow the Bedfordshire school system.

Group 1 – Years Reception to 4
Group 2 – Years 5 to 8
Group 3 – Years 9 and upwards

During these classes we work on Acting, Singing and Dance with a stronger emphasis on Acting and Musical theatre. Why only 2 hours? A lot of theatre schools run for three hours but we have changed the trend by running for just two each week. One reason for this is that we like to incorporate singing and dance together as Musical Theatre. We want children to perform their songs, not just learn to sing them. Also we know how busy families and children can be with school work and other commitments not to mention the cost. Having two hours gives students time to learn new skills but also keeps the time away from family less and the cost low.

Even though we just meet for two hours we always put on a show in a theatre once a year. As well as finding time to perform to the local community in carnivals, fetes and to care homes. Group 3 also work on a straight acting play once a year too which is also performed in a theatre.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”60px”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
